Biogas Production

Anaerobic digestion (AD) is the breakdown of organic material by micro-organisms, in the absence of oxygen.

Farm waste material is sent to an anaerobic digester, where the organic matter is broken down to produce a methane-rich gas that can be used as a fuel

A by-product of the AD process is digestate; a rich source of nutrients that can be used as a fertiliser.

Biogas technology offers a means for efficient conversion of organic wastes into energy, heat, valuable biofuels and high quality fertilisers
